  • Integrate sustainability into design, procurement, and construction phases
  • Provide technical guidance on environmental standards and certifications (e.g. BREEAM, LEED, WELL)
  • Review sustainability plans, environmental assessments, and project performance
  • Engage with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners to align sustainability goals
  • Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and internal management systems (including ISO14001)
  • Collect and analyse sustainability data to support reporting and continuous improvement
  • Promote innovative construction methods, materials, and technologies
  • Support and develop sustainability capability across project teams

About You

  • Degree qualified in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience in sustainability within the construction or built environment sector
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, policy, and ESG frameworks
  • Experience with sustainability certifications such as BREEAM, LEED, or similar
  • Understanding of whole-life carbon, energy strategies, and environmental impact assessments
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Experience contributing to or leading sustainability initiatives in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

  • Professional membership (e.g. IEMA, IES or similar)
  • ISO14001 / ISO9001 auditing experience
  • Knowledge of LCA / LCC methodologies
  • Experience leading or mentoring sustainability professionals

  • Opportunity to work on complex, high-value projects across multiple sectors
