We’re working with a leading construction and civil engineering contractor renowned for delivering landmark projects across the UK, and they are now looking to appoint a Carbon Reduction Manager to take ownership of their journey to Net Zero.

The Role:

As Carbon Reduction Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the company’s long-term carbon strategy. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll design a new carbon reduction roadmap and lead its implementation across all business operations and project sites. This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to make a real impact with an organisation that’s committed to sustainability and innovation in infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the company’s carbon reduction strategy in line with Net Zero targets
  • Identify and implement initiatives to reduce carbon emissions across business units and projects
  • Monitor and report on carbon performance, compliance and environmental KPIs
  • Collaborate with clients, supply chain partners, and internal teams to embed sustainable practices
  • Stay informed of evolving legislation, technologies and industry best practices
  • Promote a culture of carbon awareness and environmental responsibility

About You:

  • A proven track record in a similar carbon or sustainability-focused role within the construction or civil engineering sector
  • Experience developing and executing carbon reduction or Net Zero strategies
  • Strong knowledge of relevant environmental legislation, carbon reporting standards and tools
  • A relevant degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering or related field (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
