As part of our expansion and commitment to taking on higher-value projects, we are seeking a talented and experienced Site / Senior Engineer to join our team. They operate across multiple sectors, and their current projects are located in the Slough, High Wycombe, and Reading areas.
As a Site / Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest technical standards. Working closely with the site team and project managers, you will oversee the technical and engineering aspects of construction projects, ensuring that work is carried out accurately, safely, and efficiently. You will have the opportunity to contribute to exciting, higher-value projects as the company continues to expand into more complex builds.
- Oversee and manage the engineering aspects of construction projects, ensuring that all work complies with design specifications and quality standards.
- Provide technical support to site teams, resolving any engineering-related issues that arise during construction.
- Supervise and ensure that construction work is carried out in line with project timelines, specifications, and health and safety regulations.
- Liaise with the project management team, subcontractors, and clients to ensure clear communication and smooth project delivery.
- Conduct regular site inspections, ensuring quality control and adherence to engineering designs.
- Keep accurate records of project progress, including daily site reports and quality assurance documentation.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of site processes and engineering practices.
Proven experience as a Site or Senior Engineer in the construction industry, ideally with experience working on larger or higher-value projects. Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and industry standards. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with site teams, subcontractors, and clients. Relevant engineering qualifications (degree, HND, or equivalent) in civil engineering or a related field. SMSTS, CSCS, or similar certifications are desirable.
