Site / Senior Engineer – Commercial Groundworks & Earthworks | Leicester

Location: Leicester

Salary: £40,000 – £65,000 + package

We are recruiting for a leading main contractor delivering large-scale industrial projects, including warehouses, distribution centres, and cold storage facilities. They are seeking a Site Engineer or Senior Engineer with a background in commercial groundworks or earthworks to play a key role in the successful delivery of their projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out and surveying for large-scale industrial projects.
• Overseeing groundworks and earthworks, ensuring compliance with design and quality standards.
• Collaborating with site teams, subcontractors, and project managers to maintain programme and cost efficiency.
• Ensuring health & safety protocols are adhered to across all engineering aspects.
• Providing technical support and problem-solving on-site.

Requirements:

• Experience in commercial groundworks or earthworks within an engineering role.
• Strong setting-out skills using GPS, Total Stations, and AutoCAD.
• Experience working with a main contractor or specialist subcontractor.
• A degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Valid CSCS card and relevant site certifications.
