Job Title: Senior Health and Safety Manager/Director

Location: Gloucester

Salary: £70,000 – £90,000 + Package (depending on experience)

The Role:

As a Senior HSE Manager or Director you’ll play a vital role in ensuring compliance across local sites while promoting a strong health and safety culture. With the freedom to manage your own diary, you’ll have autonomy in your role and the opportunity to make a real impact within a growing division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team who regularly complete site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, there may be times where you will need to complete inspections yourself
  • Manage and implement site-specific risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to site teams on health and safety matters.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Promote a proactive health and safety culture across all levels of the business.
  • Collaborate with site teams and senior management to drive continuous improvements in health and safety performance.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a health and safety role, ideally within civil engineering, groundworks, or construction.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Full UK driving licence.
