Our client is seeking a dedicated Proposal/Bid Coordinator to join their successful Pre Construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating various proposal documents, including capability documents, presentation materials, pre-qualification questionnaires, single and first-stage tenders, and other proposal documents. Your role will encompass departmental tasks, aligning with the Senior Proposal Coordinator, business plans, and daily departmental needs.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Identify and allocate tender deliverables
- Maintain strong working relationships with external printers
- Utilise standardized InDesign templates to compile and present proposal documents
- Contribute to the writing and graphics of document sections
- Proofread sections from both internal and external teams
- Manage, track, and organize information for submissions
- Facilitate document draft reviews, collate feedback, and take necessary actions
- Create visually appealing and consistent page layouts and documents
- Conduct proofreading and pre-print flight checks
- Deliver final documents to printers in high-quality format with page bleeds and no image pixelation
- Internally print and bind documents to a high standard
- Print and assemble tender documents
- Offer template and design solutions for custom tender documents when required
- Specify technical document print production requirements
- Obtain external print and production price quotations for technical documents
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of print production and document specification generation
- Attend and actively contribute to departmental meetings and workshops
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in computer literacy, particularly with extensive experience using InDesign
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in grammar, proofreading, and spelling
Experience/Knowledge:
- Prior experience within the construction industry
- Understanding of the tender process
- Design experience
- Familiarity with print and media production and the ability to generate document specifications
- Basic technical understanding of construction
Qualifications/Certificates:
- 5 GCSEs with grades A to C, including Math, English, and IT
- A-levels in subjects such as English, Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, or similar
