We are working with a leading, family-run Civil Engineering and Earthworks contractor who have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the region. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an ambitious Commercial Manager to join their team.
The Role:
You will manage the commercial aspects of a variety of groundworks and civil engineering schemes, working closely with project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. This role offers genuine progression opportunities to Commercial Management depending on your experience and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all commercial and contractual elements of assigned projects
- Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Monitor budgets and project costs, providing regular financial reports
- Negotiate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering and/or groundworks
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts (preferred)
- Commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Ambition to progress within a growing business
