We’re proud to be partnering with a leading civil engineering and groundworks contractor that is expanding their estimating team in Milton Keynes due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and forward-thinking business that delivers high-quality residential and commercial groundworks and infrastructure packages. With live sites across the region and new tenders regularly coming in, they’re now looking to strengthen their commercial function with Estimators at all levels, from Assistant through to Senior.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil engineering and groundworks packages.
- Analysing drawings, specifications, and project information to understand scope and requirements.
- Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing and quotations.
- Collaborating with the operations, planning and commercial teams to ensure realistic pricing and methodologies.
- Supporting tender submissions and contributing to successful project wins.
- For senior positions: taking ownership of key tenders, mentoring junior team members, and liaising with clients.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in estimating for civil engineering and/or groundworks projects.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Good understanding of industry-standard estimating tools and Excel.
- For senior roles: proven track record in leading tender processes and developing cost strategies.
