An established and respected civil engineering, infrastructure, and groundworks contractor is looking to appoint a Health & Safety Advisor to support their growing operations across the South West. With live sites spread throughout the region, this role offers a great opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including groundworks packages, S278 schemes, and wider civils infrastructure.
The Role: Reporting to the HSE Manager, you’ll be responsible for promoting and maintaining a strong health and safety culture across all sites, ensuring full compliance with legislation and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks
- Support site teams with RAMS, inductions, and incident investigations
- Advise on risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Maintain accurate records and produce H&S reports
- Work closely with project managers and site teams to drive best practice
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent)
- Experience in a similar role within civil engineering, groundworks, or construction
- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and site procedures
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence (travel between sites required)
