A market-leading Main Contractor delivering landmark projects across the UK is seeking a highly organised and proactive Document Controller to join their project team based in Gerrards Cross. Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate all activities related to document control procedures including technical documents, drawings, and commercial correspondence
- Oversee technical management of the document control platforms (e.g. ACC and Procore)
- Conduct quality assurance checks on submitted documentation against TSP/client standards
- Monitor due dates for drawings and technical submittals in line with key project milestones
- Manage the full lifecycle of RFIs and ensure timely resolution/status updates
- Control the creation, review, and approval of all project documentation
- Manage workflows and ensure accurate version control throughout the document lifecycle
- Ensure correct collation and submission of as-built documentation with the Project/Design team
- Maintain structured and secure storage systems for efficient document retrieval
- Safeguard documentation with appropriate access controls and back-up procedures
- Generate document control reports for project and client use
- Archive and dispose of outdated documentation in accordance with policy
- (Senior Level) Lead the development of document control systems and tools
- (Senior Level) Contribute to reviews and implementation of new platforms and systems
- Previous experience in a Document Controller role within the construction sector
- Familiarity with major document control platforms (Procore, ACC etc.)
- Strong understanding of document control processes, QA standards, and RFI management
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently across teams and stakeholders
- Experience on projects in the £50m–£150m range preferred
- Basic salary of £40,000–£50,000
