A leading industrial and commercial main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a major leisure centre development. This is a high-profile project involving complex build elements including wet leisure facilities, sports halls, and community spaces. The Role: Reporting into the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily site operations on a large-scale leisure centre project
  • Coordinate subcontractors and trades across multiple packages
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety standards and procedures
  • Monitor and drive progress against programme milestones
  • Maintain high levels of quality control across all works
  • Oversee complex elements including swimming pools, MEP services, and specialist installations
  • Manage site logistics, materials, and sequencing
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams
  • Resolve on-site issues efficiently to maintain programme
  • Maintain site records, reports, and documentation

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on leisure centres, sports facilities, or large commercial/industrial projects
  • Experience with wet leisure, pools, or complex MEP-heavy projects is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and site coordination
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors and site teams
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety and site compliance
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications
  • Full UK driving licence
