Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buying Manager to lead and oversee our purchasing and supplier management activities. The role involves coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, managing the procurement process, sourcing new suppliers, and ensuring that the business receives high-quality products and services at competitive prices. The ideal candidate will be commercially astute, excellent at relationship-building, and capable of driving efficiencies within our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other key partners.
- Source, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to support business growth and ensure competitive pricing.
- Obtain, compare, and negotiate supplier quotations to achieve best value for the business.
- Manage and update supplier records, contracts, and compliance documentation.
- Monitor supplier performance against KPIs including cost, quality, delivery, and service levels.
- Work closely with internal teams to forecast needs and align purchasing strategy with project requirements.
- Drive cost savings and process improvements within procurement operations.
- Mitigate risks within the supply chain by maintaining supplier diversity and continuity.
- Stay up to date with market trends, pricing, and industry developments to inform decision-making
