We are partnered with a dynamic and rapidly expanding Civil Engineering & Infrastructure Contractor based in the heart of Northamptonshire. The company operates within the Groundworks, Civils & Infrastructure Sectors and works with a number of public and private clients. As an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in our projects, ensuring efficient cost management and smooth project delivery.

  • Accurately estimating the costs of construction projects, considering materials, labour, and equipment, to assist in project planning and budgeting.
  • Managing and administering contracts, including reviewing and negotiating terms, assessing variations, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Monitoring project costs throughout the lifecycle, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities, and implementing effective cost control measures.
  • Evaluating and managing contractual claims, including the preparation of claims for extensions of time, variations, and other contractual entitlements.
  • Coordinating the preparation of final accounts, including the measurement and valuation of works, negotiation of final settlements, and resolution of any disputes.
  • Collaborating with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication, resolve any commercial issues, and support project success.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Solid experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and commercial management.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
