We are working with an established civil engineering and groundworks contractor to appoint an Assistant Land Surveyor to support delivery across large-scale residential developments in the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their surveying career to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of projects, working alongside experienced engineers and surveyors within a fast-paced environment.
The Role
- Support the surveying function across live construction sites, assisting with setting out, data capture, and reporting.
- Assist in carrying out topographical and measured building surveys on site.
- Support setting out for construction works using GPS, total stations and laser equipment.
- Help process and interpret survey data using CAD/software (e.g. AutoCAD).
- Ensure accuracy of measurements and maintain survey control points.
- Work closely with site engineers and project teams to support delivery of works.
- Assist in producing survey reports, drawings and as-built records.
- Maintain and check survey equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and in good working order.
- Adhere to health & safety standards and site procedures at all times.
