We are a growing Plant Hire company specialising in providing bespoke Bowser Solutions for large-scale road, rail, and infrastructure projects across the UK. We are currently working on the A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet improvement scheme and are looking for motivated, self-starting HGV Vac Tanker Drivers to join our team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role involves operating our vacuum tankers on-site, supporting essential construction activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a major infrastructure project with a well-established and growing company. Once the A428 project concludes, there may be further opportunities available across other UK projects, subject to willingness to travel and work at different locations.

Role Requirements

  • HGV Category C driving licence (valid in the UK)
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
  • Up-to-date Driver Medical
  • CSCS card required
  • SUD training
  • Previous site experience preferred, but training will be provided to the right candidate
  • Must be comfortable working in a physical role, outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Good spoken English to communicate effectively on site

Role Responsibilities

  • Driving and operating a vacuum tanker safely and in accordance with Road Traffic Legislation and the Highway Code
  • Ensuring the vehicle is kept clean, roadworthy, and serviceable at all times
  • Supporting site operations by carrying out waste and material collection using vacuum equipment
  • Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptly
  • Using all safety equipment correctly, including full PPE (zero-tolerance approach to health and safety)
  • Complying with all company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
  • Accurately completing digital job sheets, timesheets, and associated documentation as required
  • Working closely with site and contract managers to ensure smooth operations
