Are you a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference? We are looking for caring and reliable Healthcare Assistants to join our Hospice at Home team, providing high-quality palliative and end-of-life care to patients in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes across North West and South West Hertfordshire. This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to support patients and their families with dignity, compassion, and respect during some of life's most important moments.
What You'll Do
- Deliver high-quality personal and holistic care to patients in their own homes.
- Support patients with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and comfort.
- Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to the nursing team.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Promote dignity, independence, and person-centred care at all times.
- Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary hospice team.
Shift Patterns
We offer flexible shift patterns including:
- 8:00am – 8:00pm
- 8:00am – 2:00pm
- 3:00pm – 8:00pm
What We're Looking For
Essential requirements:
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar care role.
- A caring, compassionate, and empathetic approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to your own vehicle, as travel throughout North West and South West Hertfordshire is required.
