Community therapeutic education practitioners are required for a specialist school based in East London (IG11) that caters for young people with SEMH, SEBD, ASD, depression, ADHD, complex needs, obsessive compulsive disorder, attachment disorders, and tier 4 mental health issues. The role involves working with challenging children and young people, and candidates must have experience in this area.

Community therapeutic education practitioners will have the opportunity to work in an outstanding school with an international reputation in special education expertise, curriculum, and resources. They must possess experience working with mental health problems and complex SEN needs, and believe in providing appropriate education in a safe, stable, and supportive learning environment.

The role includes working with secondary aged pupils who have SEMH and developing highly personalised individual education plans to support their success. The Therapeutic Education Department collaborates closely with nurses, doctors, therapists, and a wide range of professionals in the community.

Responsibilities:
