Nurture Teacher needed for an SEMH School. TLTP are looking for a qualified Nurture Teacher to work full-time at an SEMH School. The ideal candidate would have experience of working with secondary KS3, KS4 & KS5 pupils with social emotional and mental health needs. The setting is a specialist provision based in West Drayton. This is a provision that teaches pupils who are unable to attend their mainstream school due to their behavioural challenges. Many of the pupils have emotional and mental health needs.
The main differences are:
- Reduced curriculum offer - the provision delivers core subjects
- Class sizes max 8-10 with some additional TA support in classes
- Therapeutic and nurturing environment and approaches to support access to the curriculum
There is no specialist knowledge about Mental Health needed; the pupils just want good teaching in class so they can get their GCSEs and move forward. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long term position! The provision is looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and compassionate Nurture teacher to come on board and join their hard working team.
Required skills:
- You will need to have QTS or QTLS
