This school is looking for an experienced Teacher of the Deaf to join their team working with pupils with hearing impairments. The school ideally would like someone with BSL Level 3 or higher and preferably a qualification in teaching e.g. QTS/PGCE or equivalent. The school would like someone who is able to work with children in a group setting. This is a long-term role starting in April with a potential to be a permanent position within the school.

This is a school of the deaf in Haringey, catering to 85 pupils between the ages of 3-16. The school is in a location that isn’t too close to a station, so the ability to drive is preferred. The school caters for pupils with Hearing Impairment needs, with pupils all communicating or learning to communicate through BSL. The school has an extensive team that will be helping in the classrooms, making sure that each classroom is well cared for and would like more Teachers of the Deaf to help with that. This school is currently a Good rated Ofsted school.
