PMLD Teacher required for a Specialist School. TLTP are recruiting for a PMLD, complex needs Teacher to teach in a specialist school in Wallington, Surrey. This will involve teaching Entry level / functional skills level 1, low level post 16 life skills.
This specialist school is for students aged 4-19 with complex needs, PMLD and/or other additional needs. Situated in Wallington, they are an inclusive school catering for a range of SEN needs. This school are specialists in supporting pupils through a personalised curriculum, appropriate support, and harnessing the very latest technology. They don’t just help our pupils access the curriculum; they bring it alive for them. As a result, their pupils thrive; they achieve a variety of qualifications and develop into confident, articulate, and ambitious young adults who are curious to further their knowledge and stretch themselves.
To apply you will need to have QTS or QTLS and some SEN experience ideally. The teacher will be responsible for the progress of all pupils in their specialism. The teacher will be responsible for coordinating the work of a team of SEN TAs as well as providing required direct teaching time to meet the needs of the class groups and pupils. It is important to look at our pupils holistically and to draw on a wide range of social care and teaching strategies to meet pupil needs whilst promoting interest and ensuring safety.
