This key leadership position works closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to deliver an effective people strategy that supports the school's long‑term vision and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the HR function, working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing expert guidance on complex people matters and ensuring best practice across the employee lifecycle.
  • Oversee complex employee relations cases, HR policies, procedures and organisational change initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, safeguarding requirements and other statutory obligations.
  • Lead workforce data analysis, reporting and continuous development of HR systems and processes.
  • Champion staff wellbeing initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive workplace culture.

  • Extensive knowledge of employment law, employee relations and organisational development.
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior HR leadership role within an educational or comparable organisational setting.
