Head of Religious Education in High Wycombe, £34,398 to £52,490 + TLR, September Start, Permanent.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Religious Education department across Key Stages 3 to 5, including curriculum development, departmental strategy and raising achievement.
  • Teach RE across KS3, KS4 and KS5 where required, delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons.
  • Oversee planning, assessment, and staff development within the department to ensure high standards and consistent practice.
  • Promote critical thinking and respect for different beliefs and cultures within the curriculum.
  • Manage and utilise a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) as part of the role, and drive standards across the school.
