The Role

The successfully appointed Complex Needs Teacher will be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in the class/es, ensuring equality of opportunity for all. You will also be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in conduct. Treat pupils with dignity, build relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observe proper boundaries appropriate to a teacher\\\’s professional position. Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners and parents/carers. SEN experience is preferred to be considered for this SEN teacher role.

The School

This is an all-through co-educational special school, catering for pupils from early years through to age 19 with moderate, severe or profound learning difficulties, many with autism, severe communication needs and some medical complexities. It provides an inclusive, specialist provision across early years, school years, and into post-16. It has specialist facilities such as a dedicated nursery, post-16 base, hydrotherapy pool, multi-sensory room, soft-play area, library, well-equipped IT suite, large sports hall. The curriculum is adapted to meet the individual developmental and learning needs of each student, with a focus on functional skills and independence. In its most recent full inspection, the school received a \”Good\” rating in all key areas, including education quality, behaviour, personal development, and leadership.
