TLT is seeking an Interim Senior HR Business Partner to support our HR team, based in London, Bristol, Birmingham, or Manchester. We welcome applications from candidates located further afield, provided you are willing to travel as required for business needs. This is an initial 3‑to‑6 month contract, with the potential for extension, and will be offered on a day‑rate basis via an Umbrella Company.
Responsibilities
- Gain a deep knowledge and understanding of the aligned Group, using this to proactively identify internal/external influences, risks and opportunities and anticipate the needs of key stakeholders in order to provide expert HR advice and innovative commercial solutions.
- Build strong relationships with Partners and other managers, influencing and coaching senior stakeholders to drive high performance and design and implement key strategic initiatives relating to Talent, Performance Management, Diversity & Inclusion, Wellbeing and CSR.
- In partnership with managers, take ownership of developing and implementing the Group People Plan to support the achievement of Group business plans.
- Design and implement change and transformation programmes across the aligned Group and support HR BPs with similar activity, including organisation restructures and TUPE.
- Support managers with case management for complex employee relations issues, including preparation for any employment tribunal claims.
- Work with the HR Advisor to spot trends and examples of poor practice or procedure, challenging and coaching the management team to improve.
- Act as the main point of contact between the centres of excellence and the Firm to ensure initiatives meet the Firm’s needs and are implemented successfully.
- Work with senior stakeholders to anticipate resourcing needs and liaise with the Recruitment team to ensure delivery of agreed resource plans, designing and implementing interventions as necessary.
- Take an active role in Future Talent processes such as Graduate and Apprenticeship assessment centres.
- Collaborate with the Organisational Development team to identify current and future skills gaps across the Group and design relevant interventions.
- Work with Reward to ensure a consistent approach to reward across the Firm.
- Act as a key contributor within the senior HR and Business Partnering teams, leading and contributing expertise to key projects and providing direction on strategy and operational plans to junior colleagues.
- Analyse and interpret trends in management information to design appropriate interventions and initiatives.
- Act as a recognised expert in employment law, staying up‑to‑date on case law and best practice to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Lead annual processes to ensure fairness and consistency across the Firm, including Salary Review, Promotions and Performance Grading.
Qualifications
- Experienced HRBP with a track record of operating at a senior level within an HR team.
- Proven experience of working in partnership, building strong working relationships, coaching and influencing senior managers to drive high performance.
- Change management experience, including organisation restructure and TUPE, project management and organisational skills.
- Strong business/commercial approach, understanding of business need and excellent knowledge of employment law.
- Strong employee relations experience with management of complex cases.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas.
- Able to solve complex problems.
- Good IT skills with experience in Excel, Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office packages.
- Excellent technical HR Knowledge – CIPD qualified or relevant experience to demonstrate level of competence.
- Willingness to share knowledge and experience to mentor colleagues across the team.
- A willingness to travel to different UK locations to support offices across Great Britain.
