TLT are looking for Conveyancing Paralegals to join our team in Manchester. You will join our Lender Sales team, who deal with the sales of properties that have been taken into possession, and you will be responsible for your own caseload of conveyancing files. This is a full-time, permanent position. We are looking to speak to individuals within a commutable distance to our offices as office attendance is required.
Your Role
- Be responsible for your own caseload of conveyancing files, end to end from file opening to completion, referring all legal aspects to the Team Manager when necessary.
- Ensure that telephone calls are dealt with in a professional manner, that full telephone notes are taken, and that calls relating to any legal aspects which the Technical Case Handler is unable to deal with are referred to the Team Manager.
- Regularly update clients and asset managers on the progress of matters.
- Accompany management team on client visits and contribute to meetings/training.
- Problem solve with facts of the case and confidently discuss actions with senior members of the wider team.
- Keep up to date with changes in current regulations, policies, procedures, and technical aspects of the conveyancing process, sharing with colleagues in the sales teams where appropriate.
Your Skills and Experience
- Previous conveyancing experience is essential for this role.
- Experience of title checking freehold, leasehold, and shared ownership properties.
- Experience drafting and providing detailed advice and proposed solutions to clients.
- Demonstrates a natural empathy/affinity with clients and a good telephone manner, with clear diction.
- Strong numeracy skills.
- Excellent spelling and grammar.
- Demonstrates proactivity and attention to detail.
