This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join our growing corporate team in Manchester working with major clients across a range of transactions including corporate acquisitions and disposals, management buy-outs / ins and private equity and venture capital investments. Our dynamic legal 500 ranked national corporate team operates across our Birmingham, Bristol, Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and London offices, covering the full UK jurisdiction.
Your Role
- Work as part of a close-knit team, in which there are no rigid sub-teams with all team members working with each other on a full range of M&A transactions, including corporate acquisitions and disposals, management buy-outs / ins and private equity and venture capital investments.
- Advise a range of clients from large listed and unlisted companies, PE / VC backed companies, mid-market PE investors, venture capital firms, ambitious management teams and founder shareholders.
- Support the Partners and senior team on our business development strategy, including profile-raising events and communications.
- Support with the development of Paralegals and Trainees.

Your Skills and Experience
- A Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered). We expect that the suitable candidate will be 1-4 PQE, with experience gained in a highly regarded corporate team.
- Experience working on complex mid-market M&A, VC and PE transactions is essential, relevant sector experience is highly desirable.
- A forward thinker, with excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills, you will be self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines.
- Commercially aware with enthusiasm for business development, and an appetite for keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in your practice area and sector focus.
- Understand your client’s business needs, and act in the best interest of the firm and the client.
- Ambitious and enthusiastic team player, able to support senior fee earners and contribute to our collaborative culture.
