We are recruiting for a Managing Associate to join our successful national Property Litigation team. This is a full-time position, based in Manchester, and we offer hybrid working as part of our flexible working policy.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious property litigator to develop their career as a senior member of our Chambers UK and Legal 500 ranked real estate litigation team.
You will be afforded the opportunity to be supported by Mark Routley (Partner and Head of Property Litigation), who is ranked as a Band 1 individual in Chambers UK.

Your Role
As a Managing Associate within the team, you will be expected to deliver the following:
- Manage your own caseload of property litigation matters
- Provide an excellent service for clients across all of our key sectors, including public sector clients, local authority and government departments
- Supervise the work being undertaken by more junior team members
- Collaborate with the Partners in the team to look after our relationship with our key clients on a national basis and participate in business development initiatives
- Work with the team on a regional and national basis, to achieve key goals for the property litigation team and the firm.
Your Skills and Experience
You will be/have:
- A Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) circa 6 -12 PQE. It is essential that you have experience of handling property litigation matters with minimal supervision. Experience of acting for clients in the public sector would be an advantage but not essential.
- A creative, forward thinker, with proven analytical, communication and organisational skills, you will be self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines
- A client focused approach with the ability to nurture long standing relationships
- Proven experience of supervising and/or managing junior team members
- The drive and ambition to succeed as a key senior component of the team at TLT, with the commitment to developing the firm’s offering locally and nationally and sharing our people focused values
