TLT are recruiting for an experienced Risk Lawyer to join our Risk & Compliance team in one of our offices nationwide. This role is offered on a fully flexible working basis to accommodate full or part-time hours.
Your Role
- Supporting the management of partnership office matters, including lateral partner onboarding and retirements, partnership documentation, and related governance matters, and liaising closely with HR throughout these processes.
- Reviewing and advising on client engagement terms, outside counsel guidelines, framework agreements and panel terms, and other commercial documentation.
- Assisting with the review of supplier agreements.
- Conducting periodic reviews of firm policies and procedures, recommending and implementing updates as appropriate.
- Providing support on strategic and operational matters.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders on risk-related matters.
- Advising on matters relating to the SRA Standards and Regulations, Principles, Codes of Conduct, and the requirements of the Law Society of Scotland, the Law Society of Northern Ireland and the Law Society of Ireland, and engaging with the relevant regulators as required.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and team members across the firm's office locations.
Your Skills & Experience
- Qualified Solicitor 3+ years' PQE, with demonstrable experience in risk management and the management of contractual arrangements, within a law firm environment.
- Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills, combined with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities within demanding timeframes.
- A genuine commitment to a collaborative working culture, with the enthusiasm and capability to support the professional development of junior team members.
