The Vacation Scheme takes place in June in our Bristol, Manchester, and Scotland offices.
No two days will be the same, however, your time with TLT will consist of:
- working on live cases;
- attending meetings;
- attending court/events with your team;
- reviewing documentation;
- attending social events;
- experiencing our culture first-hand.
Those who attend the Vacation Scheme will be considered for a Training Contract in 2028 with TLT. From time to time we may have earlier start dates available based on business need, the Early Careers team will discuss this opportunity with you at offer stage based on the information provided on your application.

The Vacation Scheme is a full time, two week, work experience programme and you must have the right to work in this role, and in the UK, during this time. Following the scheme, successful candidates may be considered for a place on our training contract programme so applicants should consider their options for obtaining and maintaining the right to work as a trainee solicitor, and in the UK, throughout the duration of any future training contract. Eligibility for sponsorship as a trainee solicitor under the Skilled Worker visa is subject to meeting specific criteria set by the UK Home Office, and this criteria differs to the Vacation Scheme eligibility.
