Overview

We are recruiting for an Early Careers Advisor to join our Early Careers team in either Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow or Birmingham. This is a full-time permanent opportunity. Sitting within the wider HR function, this team is responsible for attracting, developing and supporting future legal talent through programmes such as vacation schemes, training contracts and solicitor apprenticeships. The team provides strategic oversight and operational delivery, working closely with colleagues across HR, recruitment, and the legal business. As an Advisor, you\\\’ll play a key role in managing recruitment campaigns, facilitating assessment centres, managing candidate communications, and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience. You\\\’ll also contribute to programme development, help deliver insight and outreach events, and act as a key point of contact for candidates and internal stakeholders alike.

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate and support the end-to-end delivery of early careers legal programmes, including recruitment campaigns, assessment centres and onboarding processes.
  • Manage candidate communications and act as a key point of contact throughout the recruitment campaign and training contract lifecycle.
  • Design and implement trainee recruitment advertising and attraction campaigns and an appropriate assessment process, continuously reviewing, improving and evaluating its effectiveness.
  • Support the planning and delivery of student outreach, including university activity, law fairs, open evenings and insight events to attract diverse talent into the firm.
  • Design and facilitate assessment centres across all TLT offices. Complete offer and feedback processes with candidates and draft offer and contract documentation.
  • Support the design and delivery of a highly engaging induction to ensure trainees are ready and equipped to join their teams.
  • Engage, manage and motivate trainee cohorts including pastoral care and development and training needs.
  • Collaborate and communicate with internal stakeholders including early careers principals, supervisors, trainees and partners to ensure alignment with business needs and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting for programme activity, including diversity metrics and candidate feedback to support the Early Careers Managers in their work.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of training modules and induction programmes for trainees.
  • Advocate all TLT qualification routes both internally and externally.
  • Support a proven track record in recruitment, HR, or early careers programme delivery, recruiting graduates across multiple sites in the legal sector.
  • Knowledge of legal qualification routes including SQE, LPC and other jurisdictions.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confidence presenting / hosting an event.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in early careers pathways.
  • Experience supporting assessment centres or graduate recruitment campaigns.
  • Willingness to travel nationally for assessments and events essential.
  • Experience using an ATS to manage vacancies and candidates is preferred.
  • Resilient, self-starter.
  • Good understanding of relevant employment, data protection, Professional and Regulatory rules (SRA, LSS and LSNI), and laws or regulations relevant to recruiting employees to a Legal Firm.
