We are looking to speak to Contract Business Analysts who are looking for their next role. Based in our Bristol office, this role sits within Transformation and Operations where you will be working with stakeholders across the firm, including Directors and Partners to embed a culture of high-quality operational change delivery.

Working under the guidance of the Business Analyst Team Manager, the Business Analyst will be part of driving the maturity of the firm’s business analysis capability, bridging the gap between business needs and technical, strategic or operational solutions whilst delivering analysis and insights across technological, strategic and operational programmes and projects. This role is an initial 3 months contract, with chance of extension, and will be paid on a day rate via an Umbrella company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quickly build the necessary trust, credibility and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work in partnership with the Change Managers and stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of the reason for change, leading discussions to draw out the true requirements, challenging where necessary to arrive at an agreed optimum change solution.
  • Collaborate with both the wider Transformation and Operations teams, and further stakeholders across the firm, to ensure alignment and consideration of the team’s activities within project plans.
  • Deliver end to end business analytical support, from inception through to post Go Live activity, including gathering robust requirements, translating them to clear and concise user stories, creating testing strategies with supporting scripts, plans and scenarios and supporting how change is embedded post Go Live.
  • Adhere to the governance and frameworks, maintaining effective communication with stakeholders and escalating risks with appropriate mitigation solutions whenever encountered.
  • Ensure all materials, approaches and deliveries are aligned to the firm’s values, tone of voice and professional standards.
  • Responsible for the business analyst elements during the full project lifecycle, which, as required, will include being onsite at our UK offices during critical phases.
  • Be a model for high quality business analysis across the firm, develop, lead and implement initiatives and plans in line with the firm’s Operational Change Playbook.
Skills and Experience
  • Experience in successfully leading all core business analytics activity; including facilitating workshops, user story creation, process mapping, UAT and benefits definition.
  • Experience covering a variety of business analysis techniques across technological, strategic and operational programmes with explicit experience translating specifications and requirements between business and technical teams.
  • Influencing and dynamic interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to be comfortable with ambiguity and able to challenge the status quo confidently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Experience in supporting multiple cross organisational projects at one time.
  • Experience of successfully engaging and managing stakeholders at all levels across an organisation, including those who are not early adopters.
  • Excellent communication, workshop facilitation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically and see the big picture.
  • Excellent workload management and prioritisation skills.
  • Commercial awareness.
