Join our dynamic Finance team as one of four Finance Administration Assistants on a 12-month fixed-term contract, supporting a major system implementation. You’ll play a key role in ensuring financial operations run smoothly, with responsibilities across compliance, client ledger management, risk, billing, supplier payments, and safeguarding client funds. Our Finance team is expanding, currently comprising 46 dedicated professionals. In return we will invest in you. We want you to be successful. You will receive a bespoke, on-going training programme to ensure you develop your commercial and technical skills to allow you to deliver the varied workload to a high standard. As a member of our Support team, you will be a vital part of our continued success. There isn’t an "us and them" mentality and you will be recognised for your hard work and support.

Your Role

  • Billing: Credit notes and write off requests, Rate amendments, Raising invoices, Conduct zero-value time reviews
  • Supplier Payments: Process invoices, including “Pay when paid” arrangements, Add anticipated disbursements to ledgers, Allocate bulk supplier payments to client files
  • Credit Control: Run statements and update debt status, Manage the Credit Control mailbox, serving as the first point of contact for enquiries, Send copy invoices and credit notes; liaise internally to resolve issues, Investigate and resolve queries related to non-payment of invoices
  • Financial Compliance: Provide cover for Finance, Deposit, and Accounts Receivable mailboxes, Review and close zero-balance files, Manage client-to-office transfers and completion statement reviews, Conduct interest scans
  • General Support: Assist with additional finance tasks as required

Your Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced office environment
  • Familiarity with banking software applications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Lateral thinking and problem-solving abilities within a growing finance team
  • Prior knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules is advantageous
