TLT is going through a period of positive change, we are looking to recruit an experienced consultant to carry out a 4-week optimisation review, covering resourcing, process, technology and data, followed by a similar review in each area of our legal services team which would extend the contract length to around 3 months. Our aim is to maximise our legal services impact for TLT by improving the operating model in each team, transforming the way that our services are provided. The project will be based from TLT’s Bristol office with possible travel to other UK offices so being based easily commutable distance from Bristol is essential. We aim to start the project early February.
The review will require an analysis of the current operating model for each team and service. This will involve:
- A desktop review of available materials
- Shadowing/interviews with subject matter experts, technology providers and other stakeholders
- An assessment of the potential options for optimisation
- A facilitated review of recommendations with legal services management
- High level implementation planning
Outputs should include:
- A report with recommendations for improvements to the operating model in each team, covering (at least) the approach to resourcing, processes, use of technology and data
- Validation of proposed new operating model in this document or any recommendations for changes
- A high level implementation plan to prioritise quick wins and schedule longer term improvements
Skills and experience:
- Understanding of e-Discovery and document review services is essential, including associated AI and other tech solutions
- Experience of centralised legal operations and legal shared services functions
- Experience of legal consulting projects – defining scope, project planning, leading interviews and workshops to gather information, working with subject matter experts to identify opportunities and collaborating with management to finalise an implementation plan
- Experience of on and offshore resourcing models and profitability levers
