Transport Planner Required to join one of the UK’s largest intermodal freight forwarders. The company are also a leading operator for the UK Heavy Haul rail freight market. Our client has operations across Europe offering both Intermodal/container transport as well as Heavy Haul freight services. You will be working at the companies site located in London Gateway, providing route planning expertise for their container trucks and reporting directly to the onsite Transport Supervisor.

Responsibilities
- Produce a daily Transport Plan in line with customer orders and expectations.
- Utilise vehicles with a view to support and maximise daily revenue targets.
- Resource subcontractors ensuring full induction.
- Negotiate subcontractor rates.
- Attend daily planning review meetings.
- Ensure customer service levels with all customers are achieved.
- Working with our other depots throughout UK.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Transport Planner.
- Previous container transport planning experience.
- VBS/TOPS software experience (Highly Advantageous).
- Excellent multitasking and prioritisation skills.
