A UK leading third party logistics and distribution company situated in the Middleton area is looking for a Transport Administrator/Traffic Clerk to provide compliant and efficient administrative support to the company's transport operations.
You’ll be working alongside X2 Transport Shift Supervisors, the company's Driver Trainer and Operations Manager and will be responsible for the following:
- Supporting the Transport Supervisors and management team with Driver hours and Tachograph compliance.
- Ensuring customer requirements (internal/external) are met on a day-to-day basis while managing suppliers such as subcontractors, agencies, fuel suppliers etc. As well as participating in daily driver de-briefs.
- Ensure that all Driver legislation is adhered to, vehicles are maintained correctly and if required ensure action is taken to remedy any defects found.
- Ensure fleet records for the depot are maintained to a high standard. This will include daily checks, defect reporting, servicing (tail lifts, tacho calibration, MOTs).
- Completing tacho records for vehicles and drivers.
- Tacho infringement management and adherence to the company fleet management policy.
- Assist with compiling of Health & Safety Legislation (SSoW, Risk Assessments, Toolbox Talks, LOLER/PUWER/RIDDOR regulations).
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Transport Administrator/Traffic Administrator/Transport Clerk role.
- General IT knowledge (Excel, Word etc.)
- Good general transport knowledge.
- PC literate.
Highly Desirable:
- Experience working to O license standards.
Salary & Benefits:
- £26,000.00 per annum.
- Monday–Friday (40hrs pw, 9am-5pm/10am-6pm).
