TLP Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Saw Operator / Machine Operator to join our well-established client based in Poole, Dorset, one of the UK's experts in the metal industry.
This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity, resulting in a permanent full-time position for the right candidate.
The role would suit someone with previous metal saw, CNC, machine operating, mechanical or workshop-based engineering experience.
What's on offer... * Monday to Friday – No weekends * £27,000 – £29,000 per annum, depending on experience * Hours: 07:00–16:00 * 1-hour unpaid lunch break * Temp-to-perm position * Permanent full-time opportunity for the right candidate * Full training provided * Various in-house training opportunities to support your career development * Ongoing support from our team The role... * Operating a flatbed Circular Blade Plate Saw using a CNC control panel * Cutting aluminium plate to size, ranging from 6mm to 200mm thickness * Calculating cutting plans to optimise material usage and minimise waste * Measuring materials accurately and working to required specifications * Completing simple paperwork for finished orders * Assisting with Goods-In and general warehouse duties when required * Carrying out work safely and following all Health & Safety procedures * Keeping the working area clean and organised What do we need from you? * Previous Saw Operator or Machine Operator experience * Experience with CNC machinery, metal saws, mechanical or workshop-based engineering would be advantageous * Counterbalance Forklift licence is desirable but not essential * Good attitude and willingness to learn * Great attention to detail * Good understanding of Health & Safety * Reliable and hardworking approach * Own transport is essential For more details, please contact Monika at our Poole branch on (phone number removed) or apply with your up to date cv and we'll be in touch.
