**Port Engineer Required**To join one of the UKs busiest container and general cargo ports, situated in the Wallend, Rochester area. You will be reporting to the Engineering Supervisor and will support the varied requirements of the Operations dept. Working on shift and providing engineering site support for the duration of port operations.

You will be required to carry out planned and reactive maintenance/repair works on equipment such as Container handling Quay side Cranes, Rubber Tyred Yard Gantry Cranes and all other Port related mobile equipment.

Port Engineer Salary & Benefits

  • Salary – £56,000.00
  • 42hr contracted working hours
  • Overtime available
  • Discretionary Bonus
  • Working 5 in any 7 days between the hours of 6am – 10pm
  • 22 days holiday + BH
  • Excellent company pension scheme

Port Engineer Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or above in HGV-Plant/Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
  • Previous HGV / heavy mobile plant / Diesel Engines (Mechanical) experience,
  • Working knowledge of PLCs and variable speed drives, diagnosing and repairing faults in electrical control systems (Electrical).
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Able to work confidently at height.
