Transport Shift Manager (Days) – FMCG Distribution Full-time | Transport & Logistics | Location: Clonshaugh, Dublin | Reports to the Transport Operations Manager Salary: Up to €56,000 per annum + annual bonus Hours: 10-hour shifts, Sunday – Wednesday: Sundays 7am – 5pm; Monday – Wednesday 9am – 7pm (flexibility required to support the team) Holiday: 20 days plus bank holidays (rising with length of service) The Role Our client, a leading UK&I FMCG distribution company, is seeking an experienced Transport Shift Manager for their Transport Team in Clonshaugh, County Dublin. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of day-to-day transport operations on site, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction and strong team delivery. Reporting to the Transport Operations Manager, you will help deliver a best-in-class transport service in a fast-paced FMCG distribution environment. This role will have 4 main direct reports (Transport Coordinators) along with a further 20 HGV Drivers that you will have operational oversight of. Key Responsibilities * Maintain a safe and friendly working environment for all employees, agency staff and subcontractors * Own the recruitment, induction, absence management, well-being meetings and 1:1 process, including disciplinaries, grievances and investigations. * Ensure Transport Coordinators are route planning effectively, ensuring compliance is always adhered too. * Effective management of Drivers while on shift. * Keeping regular communication within the transport teams through meetings and briefings * Deliver operational KPIs, maintaining and improving performance levels to maximise efficiency in line with service delivery targets * Support the Transport Operations Managers and wider team with additional tasks as required About You Essential * Proven transport supervisory or managerial experience, ideally within a fast-paced FMCG environment * Knowledge of transport rules, regulations, compliance and systems * Excellent communicator who builds strong working relationships * Natural problem solver with an analytical mindset * Passion for teamwork and creating a diverse, innovative culture where employees feel empowered and engaged Desirable * Previous experience of working in a trade unionised environment * CPC certified Salary, Hours & Benefits * Salary: up to €56,000 per annum * Annual company bonus scheme (based on company performance & personal KPI’s) * Hours: 10-hour shifts, Sunday – Wednesday (Sundays 7am – 5pm; Monday – Wednesday 9am – 7pm) * 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays (rising with length of service) * Pension scheme (auto enrolment or defined contribution) * Life assurance up to 4 times salary * 20% M&S Discount * Discounted healthcare cash plan * App-based perks and discounts with major restaurants and retailers * Wellbeing support, including an Employee Assistance Programme * Tailored induction and a wide range of training schemes for learning and development * Cycle to Work scheme TO NOTE: Should you not hear back within 14 days of your application, please assume that you have been unsuccessful.
