Warehouse Team Manager – Pallet Network / 3PL Full-time | Warehouse & Logistics | Location: Andover, UK | Reports to the Transport Manager Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum + benefits Hours: Monday – Friday, flexible 8.5-hour shift | Early Shift Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays The Role Warehouse Team Manager with Pallet Network experience required. Our client, a well-established 3PL logistics provider, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Manager to run end-to-end daily warehouse pallet network operations and ensure all customer contractual obligations are met. You will lead and motivate your team, have 2 main direct reports, drive KPIs and deliver excellent customer service, while identifying ways to optimise and add value to new and existing customer operations. You will support the site management team in achieving site and Group strategic objectives, and ensure the site meets all legislative, company and customer requirements, including compliance and external accreditation standards. Key Responsibilities * Manage, mentor and coach direct reports; recruit, train, schedule, appraise, and handle absence and disciplinary matters * Set clear job expectations and objectives/PDPs, and give regular on-floor and formal performance feedback * Deliver operating KPIs and metrics: warehouse productivity, vehicle loading/unloading, pick rates and stock counts * Develop and improve SOPs and processes for receiving inventory management, dispatch and delivery * Determine product handling, storage and transport requirements, and ensure efficient, cost-effective use of the facility and all warehouse equipment * Build strong customer relationships and contribute solutions that add value and support organic and inorganic growth * Embed a lean, continuous improvement culture and regularly review processes against best practice * Run daily shift-start/toolbox meetings and maintain the communication board * Set clear, achievable goals with the Operations Manager across quality, service, H&S and profitability * Maintain a safe working environment; ensure audits, compliance and legal standards are met and exceeded * Help the site gain and maintain the compliance and external accreditations required * Escalate quality issues and complete process control and quality records on time * Manage site and business communication on a daily, weekly and monthly basis * Promote internal and external awards; support site security; secondment to other UK sites may be required About You * Pallet Network experience – essential for this Team Manager role * Minimum 5 years' experience managing warehouse and logistics operations, including 3PL multi-user depots with a proven track record of developing and leading high-performing teams * In-depth knowledge of warehouse management systems, Health & Safety and HR management * H&S certification and good working knowledge of H&S, HR and transport legislation * Budget and cost management experience; advanced Microsoft Office skills * Strong communicator who builds good relationships with customers, staff and senior management * Flexible, customer-focused and comfortable managing change and competing priorities Salary, Hours & Benefits * Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 * Hours: Monday – Friday, flexible 8.5-hour shift between 4am-7pm | Typical start time will be around 5:00am/5:30am * 25 days holiday plus bank holidays * Matched pension scheme and Life Assurance * Employee Assistance Programme for you and your family * Access to a dental app and an employee discount platform * Enhanced Family Friendly policies * Cycle to Work scheme * Training and development opportunities TO NOTE: Should you not hear back within 14 days of your application, please assume that you have been unsuccessful.
