Required to join a UK leading, international multimodal freight logistics provider at their site based in Southampton. Reporting to the Divisional General Manager / Divisional Director, you will play a critical role in developing new business at a crucial stage of growth for this branch, for their air and ocean freight services. Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development for the company’s air/ocean freight services.
  • Prospect for potential new clients, develop and ultimately close the business.
  • Cold call as appropriate within your geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision-makers within the client organisation.
  • Research and build relationships with new clients.
  • Arrange Meetings with prospective clients.
  • Plan approaches and pitches.
  • Develop proposals that meet the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Client Retention.
  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships with clients.
  • Work with internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client Meetings.

  • Closing Skills, Motivation for Sales, Prospecting Skills and Sales Planning.
  • The ability to be able to Identify customer needs and goals.
  • The ability to self-motivate and work effectively on your own, as well as part of a team.
