One of the UK's largest maritime intermodal logistics operators is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join their busy team. This role is all about keeping containers moving smoothly through intermodal services — without delays, confusion, or last-minute panic. You’ll be the organised brain behind the scenes, making sure the right containers go to the right place at the right time, while keeping customers informed and happy.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Checking paperwork to make sure containers are routed correctly.
  • Planning and coordinating container movements using internal systems and meeting cut-off times.
  • Telling operations teams what needs to move, when, and where.
  • Tracking containers to make sure they arrive as planned.
  • Keeping safety front and centre — always.
  • Acting as a friendly point of contact for customers and handling queries calmly and professionally.
  • Making sure all documentation is complete and sent with the correct movements.
  • Managing import and export traffic and stepping in when plans change.
  • Keeping systems updated so everyone knows what’s happening.
  • Chasing missed or delayed movements and keeping customers in the loop.
  • Reporting weight discrepancies and other “that doesn’t look right” moments.
  • Helping out with other tasks when things get busy.

Experience:

  • 2-4 years experience in logistics, transport, shipping, or intermodal operations (even in a junior or admin role counts).
  • Confidence working with IT systems for planning, tracking, and updating movements, like Destin8 and CNS.
  • Experience handling documentation and understanding how small details can have big consequences.
  • Comfortable speaking to customers and operations teams and keeping everyone informed.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once without losing track (or your patience).
