People Projects Specialist - 12 months FTC
Location: Near Epsom, Surrey (most easily reached by own transport)
Hybrid working (3 days a week in the office)

We’re looking for a People Projects Specialist to join the People & Strategy team. In this role, you’ll partner closely with the team to deliver projects that drive real change—whether it’s evolving compensation and benefits, improving our reward strategy, or implementing new people systems and data processes. If you’re tech-savvy, analytically minded, and enjoy being at the heart of strategic HR operations, this could be the perfect fit.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage People-related projects focused on compensation, reward and systems, as per the agreed prioritisation with the Senior Manager and General Manager.
- Support creation of robust business cases to create consensus or approval on proposals for change.
- Develop and gain agreement to project scoping, project plans and budgets, ensuring interdependencies with other programmes and projects are monitored.
- Effective stakeholder management throughout projects working with all levels of management across the business.
- Support a robust governance process across the programme of People projects.
- Use insight and employee feedback to ensure that our reward offer is engaging, testing new proposals and ideas to ensure effective implementation.
- Support pension scheme management including company projects & support of Trustee Board.
- Ensure optimal and efficient processes, supporting relevant automation.
- Ensure that the HR system is optimised including support for upgrades and identified system changes.
- Support an effective and compliant data strategy, working with the G2 manager to implement and embed across the wider team.
- Ensure that projects are tracked and remain compliant with agreed budgets.
- Support succession planning and people review activities through provision of accurate and efficient data provision and distribution across management population.
- Work closely with European stakeholders in identified relevant areas within role to ensure alignment and stakeholder consensus with wider European approaches.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Project management experience – (HR background preferred) with a good understanding of project management methodology, best practice tools, templates and techniques.
- Experience of supporting business / people led change.
- Proficiency with databases, ideally within HR.
- Experience working with data sets to drive insights & improvements.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of stakeholders.
Desirable:
- Experience in compensation, reward, or people systems.
- Evidence of driving change to reward programmes.
- Understanding of pension schemes.
- Experience identifying & implementing systems which can improve data storage & insight.
- Understanding of link between people offer and impact on engagement & culture.
