TLP have been working with Toyota (GB) PLC for over 25 years and are a trusted partner. This role will be employed by TLP (secondment to Toyota (GB) PLC).
We're looking for a Manager, Internal Audit to lead and manage Toyota GB's internal audit activities, supporting our approach to risk management and ensuring the continued effectiveness of our Integrated Management System. This is a highly visible role with strategic influence across the business, sitting at the heart of governance, risk and compliance and working closely with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
What you'll be doing:
- Setting and maintaining the internal audit framework, ensuring appropriate scope and governance oversight
- Carrying out internal and external audits across the Integrated Management System, Modern Slavery and ICRM
- Overseeing and coordinating external SOx reporting in line with Toyota Motor Corporation requirements
- Driving, challenging and overseeing remediation activities, ensuring appropriate buy-in and escalation
- Developing and using management information and reporting tools to highlight trends and insights to senior leadership
- Managing and developing junior colleagues through mentoring and on-the-job learning
- Identifying and recommending areas for improvement and efficiency, aligned to Toyota's commitment to continual improvement
- Promoting internal audit as a key driver of HSEQ and Integrated Management System improvements
- Acting as a key member of Toyota GB's Governance, Risk & Compliance Committee
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Toyota Motor Europe and external accreditation bodies (currently BSI)

What we're looking for:
Essential qualifications & experience:
- Lead Auditor qualification with 3+ years' experience operating in this capacity
- Proven auditing experience in at least one of the identified audit areas
- Strong commercial awareness and business focus
Desirable:
- IOSH qualification
- Automotive industry experience
Skills & behaviours:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise audit reports
- Confident engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including senior management
- Strong relationship-building and coordination skills across a complex organisation
- Ability to provide clear, pragmatic advice and recommendations
- Flexibility to attend limited off-site audits at other UK locations
