My client is a leading Tier 1 M&E contractor with a 50-year history and a £500 million turnover. They are renowned for delivering high-profile projects across the commercial, aviation, and data centre sectors. Despite their size, they maintain excellent staff retention through strong employee development programs and comprehensive internal training.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the full lifecycle of mechanical projects from pre-construction through to final handover
- Reviewing designs for scope gaps, clashes, and compliance
- Developing and managing short-term project programmes
- Ensuring full Health & Safety compliance (RAMS)
- Preparing and submitting technical documentation
- Issuing and managing RFIs (Requests for Information)
- Coordinating and overseeing subcontractors and direct labour teams
- Managing the commissioning and handover process
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with client teams, main contractors, and subcontractors
- Leading progress meetings with subcontractors, consultants, and the client team
Ideal Candidate:
- Progressed from a hands-on mechanical background with strong technical knowledge
- Significant experience delivering projects in commercial, aviation, and/or data centre environments
- Proven track record of managing mechanical packages valued at £2 million or more
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a project management role
- Strong leadership, organisational, and client-facing skills
- Must hold a valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification
- Must hold a Black CSCS (Manager) Card
