The Opportunity

Working as part of a collaborative Talent & Learning team, you'll partner with HR, business leaders and subject matter experts to create robust functional capability frameworks that support career progression, succession planning and organisational growth. You'll play a key role in embedding consistent approaches to skills, competencies and development across multiple business functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement functional competency frameworks across business functions.
  • Develop clear skills and career pathways that support employee development.
  • Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to capture critical capabilities and future skill requirements.
  • Ensure consistency between job architecture, competencies and talent processes.
  • Support the integration of capability frameworks into succession planning and talent management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Learning and Development colleagues to align learning solutions with capability needs.
  • Build strong relationships across HR and the wider business to drive adoption and engagement.
  • Contribute to wider people projects focused on organisational capability and workforce development.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with practical delivery and enjoys working across multiple stakeholders. You'll ideally bring:

  • Significant experience within Talent Management, Organisational Development or Learning & Development.
  • Experience designing competency or capability frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Project management experience within complex organisations.
  • Knowledge of career architecture, succession planning and talent processes.
  • Passion for diversity, equity and inclusion and creating equitable development opportunities.
  • Excellent analytical skills with confidence using data to inform decisions.
  • Degree educated with CIPD qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
