I'm partnering with an ambitious, international consumer business at a pivotal stage of its UK growth journey, and we're looking for a commercially driven National Account Manager to help accelerate its presence across UK Grocery & Convenience. This is a role with genuine scope to make an impact.
You'll take ownership of key customer relationships, but importantly, you'll also have the opportunity to shape the channel strategy, open new doors and build new commercial partnerships as the business continues to scale in the UK.
About the Role
Working closely with the Head of Offline Sales, you'll play a key role in developing and executing the UK Grocery & Convenience strategy.
Responsibilities
- Owning and developing relationships across Grocery Multiples and Convenience
- Building strategic, long-term partnerships with buyers and key decision-makers
- Identifying and converting new business opportunities
- Developing and executing customer and account growth plan
- Leading commercial negotiations and driving profitable, sustainable growth
- Increasing distribution, revenue and market presence across your accounts
- Using customer, market and performance insight to identify opportunities for growth
- Working cross-functionally to turn commercial opportunities into results
For the right person, this offers something different from stepping into a heavily established NAM role where the strategy is already set. You'll be joining a business with ambitious UK growth plans and genuine appetite to invest, giving you the opportunity to influence how the channel develops and directly see the impact of the relationships and revenue you build. There's real ownership, visibility and autonomy - and plenty still to go after.
Required Skills
- Proven National Account Management experience within FMCG
- Strong experience across UK Grocery Multiples and/or Convenience
- A track record of growing accounts and delivering commercial results
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building capability
- The confidence to challenge, influence and operate autonomously
- Experience identifying and winning new business
- A strong understanding of the UK retail landscape
Working pattern: Office-based when not out meeting customers
