We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a growing team delivering high-quality commercial projects across Bristol and the South West. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional looking for long-term contract work across a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from 2 million to 5 million in mechanical value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all mechanical installation works on site
  • Manage subcontractors and site operatives to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification
  • Monitor progress and provide updates to the Mechanical Site Manager, Project Manager, and Contracts Manager
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures, RAMS, and site standards
  • Conduct quality inspections and oversee snagging and close‑out activities
  • Coordinate labour, materials, and plant to ensure efficient project delivery
  • Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Maintain accurate site records and reports
  • Promote high standards of workmanship and productivity across all mechanical packages

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor within commercial fit‑out or building services projects
  • Strong technical understanding of HVAC, pipework, plant rooms, and mechanical building services installations
  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience supervising subcontractors and coordinating multiple work fronts
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and project programmes
  • Valid CSCS card
