We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Resident Engineer (Civil Site Engineer) to join a National Grid substation project based in Cardiff. This is a long-term contract opportunity working on critical infrastructure within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting out line and level using a range of surveying equipment
  • Acting as Document Controller for all civil drawings
  • Supporting the civil site team with constructability reviews
  • Raising and managing Technical Queries (TQs)
  • Assisting with obtaining quotes and raising purchase orders
  • Producing and completing As-Built drawings

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience working on a National Grid site
  • Must hold NG Persons certification
  • Strong understanding of National Grid Technical Specifications (NGTS)
  • Competent in setting out using surveying equipment
  • Ability to manage documentation and drawings effectively
  • Manual Handling certification
