A leading Tier 1 MEP contractor is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join its established pre-construction team in London. The business delivers complex, high-value projects across commercial, mixed-use developments and data centres, with individual M&E packages reaching up to £35m.
This opportunity is open to Intermediate, Senior, or experienced Estimators, offering genuine flexibility based on capability and experience.
The Role
- Preparing detailed electrical estimates for projects typically £5m+ (larger projects highly desirable)
- Full involvement in the tender process from initial enquiry through to final submission
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and employer's requirements
- Producing take-offs, pricing schedules, value engineering options, and risk allowances
- Liaising with supply chain, internal design teams, and commercial leads
- Supporting bid strategy, clarifications, and post-tender negotiations
Requirements
- Proven experience estimating electrical packages within MEP or building services contracting
- Experience tendering projects of £5m+ (preferred)
- Strong technical understanding of electrical building services
- Competent with industry-standard estimating software (e.g. Trimble, Causeway, Estimation, or similar)
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a structured Tier 1 environment
Location & Working Pattern
- Predominantly office-based in London during probation
- Hybrid working available post-probation
Salary & Package
£65,000 - £100,000 DOE
