Overview
Our client is one of the fastest growing businesses in the rail sector and are currently hiring a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. It will be a rewarding position offering progression to a more senior level and exposure to the wider businesses. This will involve working on the CP7 Framework including minor works and civils packages.
What you will be doing:
- Contract administration under the Main Contract and Subcontracts.
- Support the team with management of subcontract payment notices in accordance with statutory and company requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic cost/value reconciliation reports.
- Identify risks and opportunities in the administration of commercial processes upstream and downstream.
- Monitoring of planned vs actual cost across disciplines (Labour, Plant, Material, and Subcontract).
- Timely issue of contractual notices and quotations under the project.
- First principles estimating.
Who we're looking for:
- Ideally degree qualified or on a degree pathway in Commercial/Quantity Surveying.
- Thorough understanding of good commercial working principles.
- Have a solid record of achievement and successful portfolio working across civils or infrastructure projects for a contractor.
- Ideally worked on NEC option A, C or E contracts.
